Oooohhhhhhhh! It's Christmas already! The 30th anniversary DVD-CD combo of Cheap Trick Live at Budokan! SWEET! Nov. 11 cannot come fast enough! Three CDs and a DVD? Are you kidding? Plus bonus features on the DVD! Produced by Bruce "I Need More Cowbell" Dickinson? Now, please!
Later I'll be mortified that it has been 30 years. Now, I'm just excited.

Oh, yeah. You will be able to hear the clear voice of every fanatical girl in that audience. Just like being there!
To mess with a quote from Grosse Point Blank: "Thirty years! THIRTY YEARS!!"
This is sacrilege, I know, but I gotta ask what's likely to be on the DVD that you or I haven't heard or seen before?
Well, I wasn't at the original concert, so that will be all new for me, plus new interviews and footage from the anniversary show in Japan, which I also couldn't attend -- though I think our Kim was there.
Besides, this could be a DVD of them reciting the alphabet nad I'd buy it. Robin's got two more kids for me to put through college.
Good enough for me. I'm good for the price of one of Robin's kid's textbooks.
Sweet! I bet the little Robins will be happy for your support.
Yes, I was at the 30th Anniversary show in Tokyo this past April, though not at the original Budokan shows. This'll be a fun release to buy... and for Lorena, CT reading the Greater Tokyo (East) Telephone Directory will be on Disk #2, in stereo, glorious dolby 5.1, and also HD video!
More seriously, as well as the bonus stuff like interviews, some video from the anniversary show etc, this is the first time the original concert footage has been released. Up to now, almost everyone who has seen this has seen a slightly blurry n-th generation copy from someones home recorded video of the original TV broadcast.
I cannot wait! Thanks for the preview, Kim, my omnipotent CT friend. (Actually, you just have a lot of inside info, right? Because if you're really omnipotent, I have some other questions for you...)
